Description: This red wine made by Elvio Cogno using 100% Nebbiolo from the DOC Langhe Nebbiolo in Piedmont (Italy). Winemaker Nadia Cogno makes her beautifully expressive Langhe Nebbiolo in tribute to her grandfather Eugenio, who planted the vines that she now harvests. After hand-picking, the wine is fermented in stainless steel vats with regular pumping-over, maturing in stainless for eight months and in the bottle for another six months. It’s a fresh and lively with lots of rose and violet along with the signature red berries of the Langhe region. It’s smooth and elegant but one still suited for weeknight dinners with friends and family.
