What are the payment options?

We accept credit card and Paypal.
Credit Cards:
We accept credit cards backed by the major providers on our website, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Unfortunately, we don’t accept some debit cards. 

If you choose to pay with Paypal, you will need to select the option at the Billing stage of checkout. Make sure any pop-up blockers are disabled. Log in to PayPal and review your account info. We’ll deduct from your PayPal balance by default, but you can choose an account to draw from if your balance doesn’t cover the full cost. You don’t need to enter a billing address. Click “Agree & Continue” to complete your order. We accept PayPal on both desktop and mobile. NOTE: PayPal may incorrectly suggest that you can pay with your credit card or bank account first, but you won’t be able to. We apologise for any confusion.

 

I’m having trouble checking out, what should I do?

If you’re getting an error message when trying to submit your payment, there’s probably an error or a typo in your billing information. If the error message says “Your payment details couldn’t be verified. Check your card details and try again,” the issue is probably either the credit card number or CVV you entered. If the error message says “Security code was not matched by the processor,” the issue is probably the CVV you entered.

I think I have been charged more than once for an order, what should I do?

If you see multiple charges for the same order on your statement, check your email to see how many order confirmations you received. If you only received one confirmation, chances are only one of the charged orders went through. The other charge(s) on your statement will disappear in 2-3 business days. If you continue to see these duplicate charges, please email us at info@peninsulabeverageco.com as soon as possible.

 

If you didn’t receive any confirmation, it is likely none of the charged orders went through. Try placing the order again, double-checking that all billing and shipping information is correct. The charges on your statement will disappear in 1-2 business days. If they don’t, please email us at info@peninsulabeverageco.com to discuss.

A note about credit card payment details:

 

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Square stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

A note about licensing:

We operate our online store as Peninsula Beverage Co. PTY LTD, ABN: 33 408 415 478 under Liquor Licence 31 958 329. Under the Victorian Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $17,000) and for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $700).

Other notes:

All orders including those taken over the phone will be accepted at our sole discretion and will incur a higher surcharge than a payment made in the store.
All prices quoted on our website are Australian Dollars and include GST. All stock is subject to availability. Vintages and prices can be subject to change at short notice. Product photos used to advertise products may show different vintages to those that are currently available. If you’re unsure about a product, please email us prior to purchasing. Please see further information below on cancellation of orders due to stock unavailability.
