Characteristics: Grapefruit, Stonefruit, Subtle Oak

Description: The handpicked fruit is gently whole bunch pressed into a tank and settled overnight. It is then transferred into French oak puncheons (a combination of new, second third and fourth use) and inoculated with a neutral yeast. This wine has aromas of grapefruit and lemon with hints of nectarine and subtle oak, and subtle flavours of lemon, grapefruit, stone fruit and elegant oak. Dexter Wines was started by Todd Dexter, who has been making wine on their Merricks North vineyard since 1987. Part of this time included partnering with Brian Stonier where he and Brian grew Stonier to being one of Australias premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers. Following a trip to France in 2000, Todd and his partner Debbie returned home to start making their own wine under the Dexter Wines label.
