Description: The Tanist is an Australian made, double wood whisky made from a base spirit of Chief’s Son’s 900 Standard using a combination of French oak (ex-sherry) and American oak (ex-bourbon) barrels. It is a soft, approachable, easy-drinking whisky with big, balanced flavours. Featuring flavours of sweet honey, rich vanilla, roasted malts, sherry, oak and a dark toffee flavour and a sweet smoke finish. This whisky contains less of the rich, robust characteristics of Chief’s Son’s core range however it is perfect for those just getting into whisky or for that mid-week tipple.
