Description: This wine has aromas of berries and red fruits while the flavours are similarly fruit forward yet soft and delicate. It is crisp, has gentle acidity and has a bright, dry finish. Myrtaceae is the highest winery on the Peninsula, situated near Arthurs Seat in the stunning Hinterland region. Husband and wife team, John and Julie Trueman grow the grapes, produce high quality, cool climate single vineyard wines and run the cellar door. The name is pronounced “mer-tay-see” and speaks to the botanical family most of the tree species in the area are from.
